I explore the unfamiliarity of Oaxaca, Mexico, and a cultural identity that is part of me but not fully understood. Inspired by music and cinema, I composed the images to orchestrate the melancholic nature of a time that could have been. Developing alongside a new theory of Anemoia, nostalgia for a time or place one has never known, it allows me to illustrate these feelings visually.
